Position Overview

As an Inventory Manager within the Unconventional Resources Supply Chain (URSC), you will support the UR operation by implementing category management methodologies. Your role will focus on developing category/subcategory demand forecasts, supply market analyses, and category management strategies that maximize lifecycle value. Additionally, you will be responsible for supplier relationship management activities, ensuring that the UR operations are equipped with the necessary materials and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Forecasting: Participate in developing demand forecasts and assess their implications for UR operations.
  • Category Management: Collaborate with the conventional Procurement & Supply Chain organization to develop and implement category management strategies for drilling and completions categories, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Lead strategic sourcing activities, including supplier engagement, RFP/RFX preparation, evaluation, negotiations, and agreement development.
  • Supplier Management: Develop segmented supplier relationship engagement models, monitor supplier performance, and foster relationships with top management at major contractors and suppliers.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with UR business users, technical proponents, and other Supply Chain functions to ensure maximum value is derived from categories.
  • Corporate Alignment: Coordinate with category managers across the Saudi Aramco Supply Chain to ensure alignment of strategies and a unified market approach for strategic categories.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive field-based experience in the oil and gas industry with deep knowledge in drilling fluids category management and commodities OR drilling and completions category management and commodities.
  • Expertise: Experience working with unconventional resources and sound knowledge of hydraulic fracking, Drilling & Completions, and understanding of related materials and services.
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with JD Edwards, Ariba, Oracle, and SAP systems.
