- Caretaker Government Reduces Petrol Price by Rs8 per Litre
In a recent announcement, the caretaker government has decided to decrease the Petrol Prices in Pakistan by Rs8 per litre, effective from January 16. However, the existing price of diesel will be maintained at Rs273.21 per litre for the next fortnight, as per a notification from the finance ministry. After this adjustment, the new price for petrol will be Rs259.34 per litre.

Effective today, on January 16, 2024, the updated prices for diesel and petrol in Pakistan will be applicable for the remainder of the month. The decision to revise petroleum product prices for the fortnight starting from January 16, 2024, has been made by the Government of Pakistan in accordance with the recommendations put forth by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), as per the official notification.
Government of Pakistan has reduced Petrol price by 8 rupees, whereas price of High Speed Diesel has been maintained.
