Job Summary:
The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all front office functions and staff, including Bell Staff, Switchboard Operations, Guest Services/Front Desk, and Retail/Gift Shop. This role involves directing and collaborating with managers and employees to successfully execute all front office operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and the financial performance of the department.
Candidate Profile:
Education and Experience:
- Option 1: High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.
- Option 2: A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.

Leading Guest Services Team:
- Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
- Promote mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Serve as a role model and lead by example.
- Manage day-to-day operations and ensure employees understand their roles well enough to perform duties in their absence.
- Foster open, collaborative relationships with employees and recognize their contributions.
Maintaining Guest Services and Front Desk Goals:
- Achieve and exceed performance, budget, and team goals.
- Develop and prioritize specific goals and plans for the Front Office team.
- Ensure the quality, standards, and expectations of customers are met daily.
- Manage department controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
Managing Projects and Policies:

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service:
- Provide above-and-beyond services for customer satisfaction and retention.
- Act as the “Service Champion” for the Front Office, creating a positive atmosphere for guest relations.

- Review guest satisfaction results and other data to identify areas for improvement.
