About the Role
Qatar Airways Group is seeking a skilled Senior Data Science Analyst to lead a team of analysts in designing and implementing analytics solutions that drive revenue growth and improve business decisions. In this role, you will connect complex data science concepts with business strategies, helping the organization leverage data to achieve revenue targets and enhance customer experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of data analysts to design and build data-driven methodologies and solutions that align with business goals.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to operationalize revenue management goals using data, science, and technology to meet revenue targets, including Revenue per Available Seat Kilometer (RASK).
- Data Management: Manage and organize large and complex data sets, perform data exploration and modeling, and build a comprehensive list of data sources within the company.
- Data Translation: Translate complex data science concepts into actionable insights for business stakeholders, ensuring seamless adoption and transformation.
- Revenue Management: Work with traditional revenue management data sources such as pricing, inventory, and market share, and apply computer science, AI, statistics, and machine learning techniques to optimize revenue.
- Collaboration: Partner with IT and business stakeholders to create synergies, adopt common tools, and ensure alignment with digital value analysis.
- Reporting: Compile and present statistical data and insights to management, making recommendations to adapt business strategies based on findings.
- Problem-Solving: Identify challenges and opportunities through data analysis and propose solutions that improve business performance.
- Development: Write code and use modern development tools to create data-enabled solutions that drive personalization and customer engagement.
- Innovation: Continuously seek out new data science solutions to provide a competitive advantage, working closely with departmental leadership.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Foster relationships with other commercial and IT areas to support the company’s vision of delivering exceptional customer connections.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
- Expertise: Strong understanding of statistics, operations research, forecasting, and optimization methods.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of airline business processes, including network planning, scheduling, e-commerce, marketing, and sales.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level understanding of IT topics and the ability to work with modern development tools.
