Key Responsibilities of Warehouse Assistant Job In Dubai :
Attendance and Reporting:
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Hatchfit and department policies.
- Notify the FIC/Supervisor of any late arrivals or sick leave before the start of the shift.
Housekeeping and Safety:
- Complete assigned housekeeping tasks and accurately fill in the required checklist.
- Report any unsafe practices or other issues related to housekeeping and health & safety to the FIC/Supervisor.
Equipment and Health & Safety:
- Handle and maintain office equipment as per the manual.
- Adhere to all health & safety policies as outlined in the H&S manual provided during induction.
Daily Operations:
- Receive and execute daily orders from the warehouse Supervisor/FIC.
- Handle all customer goods stored in the warehouse with care.
- Operate all equipment with diligence and according to best practices.
- Record the movement of goods using barcode scanners.
- Perform cycle counts as necessary.
Team Collaboration:
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and a positive workplace environment.
Compliance:
- Ensure warehouse workers comply with the company’s safety and security procedures.
- Perform duties efficiently to meet customer service, productivity, and accuracy standards.
Inbound Operations:
- Unload goods from delivery vans.
- Verify that the description of containers/trailers matches the provided documentation.
- Confirm that the received quantity matches the tally sheet.
- Identify and record any damaged or missing goods on the Material Discrepancy note.
- Move received goods to appropriate storage areas using mechanical equipment like powered pallet jacks or manual hand-jacks.
- Ensure all goods are labeled correctly.
- Store products in designated areas based on type and size or as directed by WMS/FIC/Supervisor.
Outbound Operations:
- Pick and pack ordered goods, ensuring they are in good condition.
- Isolate and report any damaged goods during order picking.
- Record information on picked goods in WMS or pick sheets.
- Transfer picked goods from storage areas to delivery pallets using PPT or hand-jacks.
- Update required documents, including pick sheets and dispatch notes.
- Adhere to quality control measures for all goods moving in and out of the warehouse.
- Follow customer-specific requirements as detailed in the SWI/SOP for each activity.
Job Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Forklift driving license (preferred)
- High school level education
- 1-2 years of logistics and warehouse experience (preferred)
