Reason Behind Internet Outage in Pakistan
The disruption transcended the confines of a singular internet service provider (ISP). Users from diverse ISPs, encompassing PTCL, Transworld, StormFiber, NayaTel, Nova Communication, Optix Pakistan, and others, reported analogous issues spanning various websites, notably affecting social media platforms.
Interestingly, certain services such as Netflix and akin video streaming platforms like Amazon Prime retained their operational status.
Prominent online platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and several others, experienced downtime in Pakistan during this nationwide internet outage.
However, neither the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) nor any internet service provider (ISP) has proffered an official explanation for the internet disruption.
